Dhaka, September 25, 2025: A national-level job expo, titled “Job Expo 2025: Empowering Youth to Lead the 21st Century”, was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) on Thursday. Organized by Educo Bangladesh and Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) under the LIFT Project funded by ChildFund Korea, the event served not only as a job fair but also as a platform for policy dialogue on education-to-employment transitions.

The programme was inaugurated by Abdul Hamid, Country Director of Educo Bangladesh, and attended by government officials, industry leaders, development partners, and young job seekers. Dr. Neyamat Ullah Bhuiyan, Senior Secretary at the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, attended as Chief Guest. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to meet the growing demand for tech-based skills, stating, “While young people must be prepared for the job market, the job market must also be ready to accept and engage them.”

More than 30 national and multinational companies joined the expo, offering walk-in interviews, recruitment opportunities, and professional development workshops. The event also featured motivational sessions, workplace readiness panels, and success stories of LIFT trainees.

Educo Bangladesh emphasized the need for reforms in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, calling for stronger public–private collaboration to align skills development with industry demand.

Dr. Mohammad Shahid-Uz-Zaman, Executive Director of ESDO, concluded the event, reiterating that the expo was more than a job fair—it was a vision for an inclusive and empowered generation ready to shape the future of work in Bangladesh.
