Badabon Sangho, a Bangladesh-based non-profit organization dedicated to women’s rights and empowerment, has organized a powerful photography exhibition at Kala Kendra, Dhaka, under the theme “Seeing the World Through Women’s Eyes.”

The exhibition is part of Badabon Sangho’s annual observance of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign that runs from November 25 to December 10. This year, the 2025 theme “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls”** — underscores the rising urgency to address online harassment, digital insecurity, and technology-based abuse targeting women.

Badabon Sangho believes that photography plays a transformative role in shaping human perception, raising awareness, and inspiring long-term social change. With this vision, the organization invited photographers from across the country to submit works capturing the lives, struggles, resilience, and perspectives of women.

A total of 3,700 photographs were submitted, from which 40 exceptional works were selected by an expert jury panel featuring two renowned Bangladeshi photographers Jubair Bin Iqbal and Mahmuda Tuli. The curated collection reflects stories of strength, survival, and everyday realities of women through a compelling visual narrative.

The closing ceremony featured World Press Photo & Begum Rokeya Award–winning photographer Miss Taslima Akhter as the chief guest. In her inspiring address, she praised the participating photographers for their commitment to documenting women’s lives with sensitivity and courage. She emphasized the importance of visual storytelling in confronting injustice and motivating society toward gender equality.

The event concluded with an expression of gratitude from Badabon Sangho to all contributors, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to using art and activism to amplify women’s voices and challenge gender-based violence — both offline and online.
