দেশের প্রাণিসম্পদ বৃদ্ধি করতে এবছর প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তর এর আয়োজন করেছে জাতীয় ডেইরি আইকন পুরস্কার। এবছর ৪১ জন খামারীকে বিভিন্ন ধরণের পুরস্কার দেয়া হয়। ডেইরি ক্যাটেগরিতে ২০ জন, দুধ ও মাংস ক্যাটেগরিতে ৯ জন, পশুখাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ ক্যাটেগরিতে ৮ জন এবং খামার যান্ত্রকরণ ক্যাটাগরিতে ৪ জনকে দেয়া হয় এ বিশেষ পুরস্কার। পুরস্কার হিসাবে তারা পেয়েছেন ১ লাখ টাকা। কৃষিবিদ মিলনায়তনে আয়োজন করা হয় এ অনুষ্ঠানের। এর মাঝে ডেইরি আইকন পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন বগুড়া ভাণ্ডার এগ্রো ফার্ম এর স্বত্বাধিকারী তৌহিদ পারভেজ বিপ্লব। তিনি বলেন, এ পুরস্কার কাজের অনুপ্রেরণা বৃদ্ধি করবে।
